We bought our first house earlier this year and the seller very kindly left behind a whole load of junk for me to clear out. Amongst all that were a few chunky timber fence posts which I subsequently commandeered for the legs of my new workbench. Whilst working with the larch posts it struck me how lovely the colouring and grain pattern was, so I thought I’d challenge myself to see if I could make a feature of this pattern in a piece of furniture. I wanted to avoid the end piece looking too ‘reclaimed’ or ‘up-cycled’, and hopefully give it a higher end feel. What do you reckon? Did I manage it?
